How it works and how to use it
The glasses work by 2.1x optical magnification combined with diopter adjustment by rotating the side knobs. You place the glasses on your nose like a regular pair, adjust the distance between the lenses according to your interpupillary distance using the adjustment mechanism, then rotate the knobs to obtain the necessary diopter between 0 and +3. No technical knowledge is required – the adjustment is intuitive until you get a clear image. After use, store the glasses in the included case for lens protection.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
