How it works and how to install it
The connector is mounted through the panel hole provided in the station housing or antenna bracket, secured with the included hexagonal nut. The RG58 cable is terminated by soldering or crimping to the central pin and the outer shield of the connector, after which the antenna connector is screwed directly onto the female UHF thread. The operation does not require special tools and can be performed in a few minutes by any user with basic electronics experience.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
