The CSA-081 limit switch with flexible metal spring rod automatically stops industrial machinery, automated gates, or production machines when they reach the set position. The metal spring allows actuation from any direction, and the IP65 casing withstands demanding industrial environments. Simple installation via two mounting holes, compatible with AC and DC systems.

How it works and how to install it
The CSA-081 limit switch activates when the spring rod is pushed by the moving equipment, interrupting the electrical circuit. When the pressure stops, the spring automatically returns to position and the contact is re-established. Installation is done by mounting the two fixing holes on a fixed surface, then connecting the cables through the PG11 gland according to the included electrical diagram. The force required for tripping is a maximum of 800g, so the mechanism does not strain the machinery.

Can it be used outdoors, in rain or snow?
Yes, the IP65 protection rating allows outdoor operation, protected against dust and water jets from any direction.
How accurately does it stop the machine — does it have much play?
The trip position is stable at +-10% of the travel, meaning a maximum deviation of 2mm, and the movement differential is only 1.2mm for quick return.
Is it also suitable for automatic garage doors?
Absolutely, it is the ideal solution for domestic or industrial gates, sectional door systems, and automatic barriers, with a long service life.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
