The 10W COB LED chip with a 26mm diameter is the ideal component for building or repairing light fixtures with concentrated luminous flux and high efficiency. COB (Chip-on-Board) technology brings together multiple LED diodes on a single board, generating a uniform beam without blind spots. How it works and how to install
The 10W COB LED chip is powered by 30V DC via a suitable LED driver (300mA), which is not included in the package and must be purchased separately depending on the application. Mounting is done on the included heatsink surface with thermal paste (recommended, sold separately), applied between the back of the chip and the heatsink to ensure optimal thermal transfer. Electrical connections are made by soldering or clamps on the pads marked with plus and minus, strictly observing the polarity indicated on the base.

Do I need a separate driver for this 10W COB LED chip?
Yes, the chip requires an LED driver that supplies 30V DC at 300mA. It does not power directly from 220V and does not include a driver in the package.
Is thermal paste mandatory for installation?
Yes, at 10W the chip generates significant heat. Without thermal paste between the chip and the heatsink, the temperature rises excessively and the lifespan decreases considerably.
Can this LED chip be used outdoors or in humid areas?
It is not recommended for humid environments or direct exposure to weather, as it does not have certified IP protection. Use is recommended exclusively indoors or in light fixtures with an adequate degree of protection.
