How it works and how to install it
During the day, the high-efficiency solar panel charges the integrated battery for 6-8 hours. At night, the PIR sensor detects motion within its range and automatically activates the 333 SMD LEDs at a maximum power of 3000 lumens. The solar panel is mounted separately, in the spot with the best sun exposure, and the light body is fixed to the wall or pole using the included bracket — the two units are directly connected. You orient each of the 4 LED heads in the desired direction, set the preferred mode using the remote control, and the installation is complete.

What happens in rainy or cloudy weather — does the battery charge?
The solar panel charges even in diffused light conditions, but the autonomy at night may be shorter than on days with direct sunlight. The waterproof construction protects both components in normal weather conditions.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
