How it works and how to install
The solar panel is mounted on a wall, fence, or pole facing south or southwest for maximum efficiency, connected to the floodlight via the included 3-meter cable. The LED floodlight is fixed with the adjustable bracket in the desired location for lighting. During the day, the integrated sensor detects sunlight and automatically charges the batteries. At night, the lamp turns on automatically or according to the remote control settings — you can choose between automatic function, timer, or manual intensity control. No technical knowledge is required, just mechanical fixing and connecting the cable between the panel and the floodlight.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it light up at night after a day of charging?
Approximately 12 hours at medium power, depending on the light intensity setting and weather conditions on the charging day. With a 50-30% intensity setting, autonomy increases.
Does it work in winter or cloudy weather?
Yes, the monocrystalline panel also charges under cloudy skies, but slower. In winter, operating time may be reduced compared to summer months with abundant sunshine.
Can I extend the 3-meter cable between the panel and the floodlight?
It is not recommended; extending the cable leads to voltage losses and faulty operation. The included 3 meters is the maximum length for optimal performance.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
