How it works and how to install it
The strip connects to the RGB controller via a 2.1mm DC connector, and the controller is powered by the included adapter (input 100-240V AC, output 12V DC-3A). Installation involves cleaning the surface, peeling the film from the adhesive strip, and attaching the strip along the desired path — the entire process usually takes less than 20 minutes. The IR remote control sends commands to the controller for color selection, light show mode, or intensity adjustment.

Can I use this LED strip in the bathroom or outdoors?
The strip has IP65 protection, which means it is resistant to dust and water splashes — it is suitable for areas with high humidity and semi-outdoor use, but not for immersion in water or direct exposure to rain.
Can the strip be cut to a length shorter than 5 meters?
Yes, the 5050 LED strip can be cut at every segment of 3 LEDs (approximately 5 cm), precisely on the markings on the PCB, without damaging the rest of the strip.
Does the remote control work from a long distance, or do I need to be close to the controller?
The IR controller has a reception range of approximately 5-8 meters in a straight line, sufficient for most residential rooms.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
