How it works and how to install it
The dimmer switch is placed between the socket and the light fixture. You simply connect the lamp's plug into the dimmer's socket, then insert the dimmer into the wall outlet. To adjust, turn the circular knob clockwise for higher intensity, counter-clockwise for weaker light or complete shutdown. No technical knowledge or special tools required — any user can install and use it immediately.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work with LED bulbs or only incandescent ones?
It works with most incandescent and halogen bulbs up to 100W. For LED bulbs, check if they are dimmer-compatible, as not all LEDs accept voltage variation.
Does the dimmer get hot with prolonged use?
Slight heating is normal when controlling loads close to 100W. The construction includes metal for safe heat dissipation under normal operating conditions.
Can I connect multiple lamps via an extension cord to this dimmer?
Yes, provided that the total power of all connected bulbs does not exceed 100W combined. For higher loads, you risk overheating and damage to components.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
