How it works and how to install it
The switch contains two push-button contacts, each activating a direction of movement — UP for raising and DOWN for lowering. You connect the four poles to the electric motor according to the diagram included in the package, fix the base with the provided screws, and pass the cable through the protective sleeve. The buttons actuate the internal contacts only as long as you hold them down, and upon release, the circuit automatically breaks, providing total control over the movement.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
