How it works and how to install it
The PB-3 switch operates via direct push activation: the green FWD button starts the motor forward, the green REV button reverses the direction, and the red OFF button completely stops the equipment. Installation involves connecting cables to the internal terminals, accessible after disassembling the enclosure, and fixing the box to the desired surface using the included screws. No special tools are required, and wiring follows the standard diagram for FWD-REV-OFF industrial switches.

Can I use this switch for a single-phase water pump?
Yes, the PB-3 is compatible with water pumps and other single-phase or three-phase motors, provided that the load current does not exceed 3A at 250V AC.
Is it protected against moisture? Can I install it in an unheated workshop?
Yes, the enclosure has an IP54 protection rating, which means it resists dust and water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for workshops, garages, or technical spaces.
What happens if I press REV without pressing OFF first?
It is recommended to stop the motor using the OFF button before switching direction to avoid mechanical shocks to the actuated equipment. The switch does not have integrated electronic interlock.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
