How it works and how to install it
The MCCB circuit breaker works by automatically disconnecting the DC circuit when the current exceeds the rated value or a short circuit occurs, using a thermoelectric tripping mechanism. Installation is done directly in the electrical panel on a DIN rail or by screw mounting, connecting the line wires to the upper terminals (LINE 1 and 3) and the load to the lower terminals (LOAD 2 and 4). The work must be performed by an authorized electrician, with the circuit completely disconnected from the power source.

Does this circuit breaker also work for alternating current (AC)?
No, it is designed exclusively for direct current (DC) up to 500V. For AC circuits, a circuit breaker with corresponding AC specifications is required.
Can I use it with an off-grid solar system with 48V lithium batteries?
Yes, the circuit breaker is compatible with any DC voltage up to 500V, including systems with 12V, 24V, or 48V batteries, provided the current does not exceed 125A.
Can it be installed outdoors, in sealed enclosures?
The circuit breaker itself does not have its own IP rating for weather protection, so it is recommended to install it in an appropriate sealed enclosure (minimum IP65) when exposed to the outdoor environment.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
