The 2P-125A solar MCCB circuit breaker is specifically designed for photovoltaic installations operating on direct current, where standard AC breakers do not provide adequate protection. How it works and how to install it
The 2P-125A MCCB breaker is mounted on a standard DIN rail or directly on the wall of the electrical panel using the screws included in the package. Connections are made to the terminals marked LINE (input) and LOAD (output), respecting the correct polarity of the DC circuit. Installation does not require special tools, but connection to an active photovoltaic circuit must be performed by a qualified electrician, in accordance with current regulations.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use a regular AC breaker instead of this DC MCCB?
It is not recommended. AC breakers are not designed to extinguish the electric arc generated by direct current, which can lead to device damage or fire. This MCCB is specifically built for DC applications.
Is it compatible with a 48V or 96V solar system?
Yes. The rated voltage of 500V DC represents the maximum permissible limit, so any system operating below this value is compatible, including 48V, 96V, or 120V systems.
Can this breaker be mounted on a standard 35mm DIN rail?
Yes, the housing is equipped with a clamping system compatible with a 35mm DIN rail, used in most residential and industrial electrical panels.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
