How it works and how to install
The switch is mounted in a 10mm hole drilled in the product body or mounting panel, at a maximum depth of 20mm—no special tools, just a drill and a screwdriver for fastening. Connection is made on the power supply line, interspersed between the 12V DC source and the LED consumer, using the 4 included wires (positive, negative, and dimmer control wires). A short tap turns the light on or off, while a long press progressively dims the intensity.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this touch switch also work with RGB LED strips or only with monochromatic strips?
The HST06 switch is compatible with monochromatic 12V DC LED strips. It is not designed for controlling RGB or RGBW strips, which require dedicated multi-channel controllers.
What is the maximum thickness of the panel I can mount it in?
The maximum mounting depth required is 20mm, so the panel or housing in which you install it should not exceed this dimension in the area of the 10mm hole.
Can I use this switch at 24V DC?
No. The maximum operating voltage is 12V DC. Use at higher voltages can damage the sensor and void the product warranty.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
