How it works and how to install it
The dimmer connects in series between the DC power source and the LED strip, using the screw terminal block marked IN/OUT visible on the casing — the connections are clearly labeled V- and V+ for input and output. Brightness adjustment is done by repeatedly pressing the touch button, which gradually cycles the light intensity. Installation is simple and does not require advanced electrical knowledge, but for a permanent installation, it is recommended to have the connections checked by a licensed electrician.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
