How it works and how to install
The H1 connector uses a push-lock mechanism that automatically secures stranded wires into the copper contacts. Strip 5-6mm of insulation from the ends of the wires, insert the two opposing wires into the side channels, then press the transparent cover until it clicks. No clamps or screwing required — ideal for quick serial assembly. Works only with 0.35mm or 0.5mm stranded wires.

Can I use this connector for solid wires or thicker wires?
No, the H1 connector is designed strictly for 0.35-0.5mm stranded wires. Thicker or solid wires will not be properly secured and may cause poor contact.
Is it suitable for outdoor installations or wet areas?
Its IP40 protection class makes it suitable only for dry indoor use. For outdoor use, connectors with IP65 or higher are required.
Can I undo and reuse the connector if the joint is wrong?
Yes, the cover can be opened by gently pressing on the side, but the connector is optimized for single use — repeated reuse weakens the lock.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
