How it works and how to install it
The connector works through a mechanical clamping system: you insert the stripped wire into the connector slots, press the transparent cover until it clicks, and the brass blades automatically make electrical contact. No soldering, crimping, or special tools are required. To connect two cable segments, use the included male and female parts — insert them into each other by pushing until they lock. Disconnection is done by a simple pull.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
