How it works and how to install it
The clock is powered either by the included USB cable connected to any charger or USB port, or by 2 AAA batteries (not included). The buttons on the top allow setting the time, date, alarm, and 12h or 24h display format in a few seconds. The LCD display permanently shows the time with large white digits, and at the bottom, the temperature, date, and day of the week with different colors. The sound sensor automatically activates the lighting when approached or gently tapped, saving energy when brightness is not needed.

Does the clock retain settings if power is interrupted?
Yes, if you use AAA batteries as a backup source, the settings and time remain saved even when the USB cable is disconnected.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
