How it works and how to set it up
The clock connects directly to an outlet via the included USB cable and any phone charger, or it can run on 2 AAA batteries for cordless placement. After connecting, set the time and date using the buttons on the back — the process takes less than a minute. You can choose 12H or 24H display format, and the temperature automatically displays in Celsius.
The multicolor LED screen remains permanently lit when powered by an outlet, or it activates with noise when running on batteries to save energy. The alarm is easily programmed via the MODE menu, and the volume and tone are adjusted with dedicated buttons.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
