How it works and how to install
The clock can be placed directly on any flat surface — no wall mounting or tools required. Power is supplied either via the included USB-DC cable connected to a standard phone charger, or with 3 AAA batteries inserted into the back compartment. Setting the time, alarm, and date is done using the 4 buttons on the top panel: DOWN, UP, LIGHT/SNOOZE, MODE, and ALARM — the instructions in the included manual guide the process step-by-step.

Does the clock work without being plugged in?
Yes, it operates fully on 3 AAA 1.5V batteries, which are not included in the package. Alternatively, it can be powered via the included USB-DC cable connected to any phone charger.
Does the red LED light disturb at night?
No, the clock has automatic light intensity adjustment between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM, switching to low brightness without manual intervention. You can manually select between 2 brightness levels outside this interval.
Does the display also show the date, not just the time?
Yes, the clock displays the time in 12H or 24H format, the date (day and month), the year programmable until 2099, and ambient temperature between -10°C and +50°C.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
