How it works and how to install it
The digital clock starts immediately once you connect it via USB cable to an adapter, laptop, or power bank, or insert 4 AAA batteries into the back compartment. The green LED display automatically activates upon touching the surface or detecting noise, then turns off after a few seconds to save energy. You set the time, date, and alarm with the three buttons on the back — the process takes less than 2 minutes following the instructions in the manual. The included CR2032 battery retains memory settings even when the main power is disconnected.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
