How it works and how to install it
The MHL cable connects to the Micro USB port of a compatible Samsung phone, the other HDMI end plugs into the TV or monitor, and the USB branch connects to a charger or USB port for power. No, the cable is exclusively compatible with models that support the MHL standard via Micro USB: Samsung Galaxy S3, S4, S5, and Note 3. S6 and later models do not support MHL via Micro USB.

The TV must have a standard HDMI port, which is true for almost any TV produced after 2008. No additional adapter is required.
Does the phone charge while I'm using the cable?

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
