How it works and how to install it
The MYYM 2x2.5mm cable is unrolled directly from the spool and cut to the required length with standard cable cutters. The differently colored conductors (brown and blue) allow for quick polarity identification, reducing the risk of incorrect connection. Installation does not require special tools — ordinary electrical tools are used, but connection to the electrical grid must be performed by an authorized electrician.

Can this cable be used outdoors or in wet locations?
The PVC sheath provides protection against light mechanical shocks, but the MYYM cable is not recommended for permanently wet environments or direct exposure to weather without additional protection (conduit, cable tray).

For 2.5mm copper conductors in typical installations, the permissible current is approximately 16-25A depending on the installation method and ambient temperature — sufficient for socket circuits or household appliances.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
