How it works and how to install it
The button is inserted into the control panel cutout and secured with the side clips. You connect the wires to the 2 x 6.3mm contacts according to your electrical circuit diagram. When pressed, the button switches between the ON position (current present, LED lit) and OFF (current interrupted, LED off). No special tools are needed for installation, just a screwdriver for tightening the contacts.

The button can safely switch a maximum current of 10A according to specifications. The 16A marking on the housing represents the maximum mechanical limit, but the manufacturer's recommendation is 10A for optimal operation.
Does the LED light up when the button is ON or when there is current in the circuit?
The red LED lights up when the button is in the ON position and current is flowing through the circuit, acting as an active status indicator.
What are the dimensions of the cutout required for mounting?
The button mounts into a standard cutout for IRS KCD3 type switches, approximately 21x15mm. Check your panel dimensions before mounting.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
