How it works and how to install it
The rocker switch is mounted by fixing it into the corresponding panel cutout, and the 4 contacts are connected according to the equipment's electrical diagram. Operation is done by pressing the rocker button — position I activates the circuit and lights up the red LED, position 0 cuts off the power. The rubber protection is mounted over the button to prevent water and dust from entering during operation.

Is it waterproof or just splash-resistant?
The rubber protection provides resistance to splashing and increased humidity, but it is not submersible. Recommended for industrial environments and workshops, not for direct immersion in water.
Can I use this button for a 2 kW motor?
Yes, at 220V, a 2 kW motor consumes approximately 9-10A, so the 16A button is sufficient and leaves a safety margin.
Does the LED work even when the button is in the OFF position?
No, the red LED only lights up when the button is in the ON (I) position and the circuit is powered, indicating the presence of electric current.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
