How it works and how to install it
The button works with 3 electrical contacts that allow switching between two active states and a central off position. Installation is done by cutting a 20mm hole in the desired panel, inserting the button, and securing it with the nut from behind. You connect the wires to the 3 terminals according to your circuit diagram — the upper and lower positions activate different circuits, and the central position interrupts the power supply. The red LED automatically lights up when the circuit is energized.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
