How it works and how to install it
The E27 RGB-CCT smart bulb screws directly into any standard E27 socket and is powered by the household electrical grid. After installation, download the Tuya app on your phone, create a free account, and pair the bulb either via Bluetooth (up to 12m, without a router) or via Wi-Fi for unlimited remote control. No electrical modifications are needed, and you don't need an additional hub.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a Wi-Fi router to use the bulb?
Not necessarily. The bulb can be controlled directly via Bluetooth from your phone within a 12-meter range, without an internet connection. Wi-Fi is only needed if you want remote control or integration with Alexa and Google Assistant.
Does it work with a normal wall switch?
Yes, the bulb turns on and off like any ordinary bulb via the switch. Note, however, that after a power outage, the bulb returns to its previous mode, and the Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection automatically re-establishes.
Can I dim the light intensity from the app?
Yes, the Tuya app allows continuous adjustment of light intensity from 1% to 100%, regardless of the selected color, without the need for a separate dimmer switch.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
