How it works and how to install it
The bulb contains a brightness sensor calibrated to a threshold below 50 lux: when the ambient light drops below this level, the bulb automatically turns on, and when daylight returns, it turns off by itself. It does not require any external module, no application, and no configuration — you screw it into existing E27 sockets and it works immediately. It is suitable for both indoor light fixtures (hanging lamps, wall sconces for stairs) and outdoor lanterns and lampposts compatible with an E27 socket.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use this bulb with a regular switch or does it need to be left in the "on" position all the time?
For the sensor to function correctly, the switch must be left in the "on" position permanently. The bulb manages turning itself on and off based on ambient light.
Does the sensor work if the bulb is mounted in a closed lantern or under a lampshade?
The sensor needs to perceive ambient light, so in completely enclosed fixtures or with opaque lampshades, performance may be affected. It works optimally in fixtures with a translucent diffuser or open to the outside.
Can this bulb be used with a dimmer or a voltage regulator?
No, LED bulbs with an integrated sensor are not compatible with dimmers or voltage regulators and must be connected to a standard 220V-240V AC power source.
