How it works and how to install
The H3 halogen bulb works by heating a tungsten filament in a halogen gas atmosphere, which extends the filament's lifespan and maintains a constant luminous flux over time. Installation is done by inserting the bulb into the H3 socket of the headlight, twisting to secure it, and connecting the power wire to the corresponding terminal — an operation that can be performed without special tools in approximately 5 minutes. The 6V voltage makes it compatible exclusively with vehicles that have a 6-volt electrical system; check the system voltage before installation.

No. The bulb is calibrated for 6V; installing it on a 12V system will burn out the filament immediately. Check the voltage of your vehicle's electrical system before ordering.

The base is H3 PK22S, with a single contact and a flexible output wire. On the old bulb, you will find the H3 marking and, usually, the voltage and wattage engraved on the glass or the metal base.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
