How it works and how to install
The tape is made of flexible silicone with a strong pre-applied adhesive on the back. Clean and dry the area where you want to apply the tape, remove the adhesive backing, and firmly press the tape onto the joint, aligning it evenly. For corners, cut the tape with scissors and slightly overlap the ends. The adhesive activates with pressure and instantly adheres to clean surfaces of ceramic tiles, lacquered wood, plastic, or metal.
The tape works by physically blocking water and dirt from the joint, preventing infiltration and mold formation. It can be used to delineate between the kitchen sink and countertop, between the bathtub and wall tiles, around the toilet, in the shower cabin, or to cover joints on door frames and baseboards. The flexibility of the silicone allows installation on slightly uneven surfaces.

Does the tape withstand permanent contact with water and detergents?
Yes, the silicone resists permanent water, detergents, chlorine, and standard bathroom and kitchen cleaning products. The adhesive maintains its bond even in wet conditions.
How difficult is it to remove the tape if I want to replace it?
It can be easily removed by pulling it evenly, and any adhesive residue can be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol or a degreasing spray.
Can I apply the tape over old silicone without removing it?
It is not recommended — the surface must be clean, dry, and degreased. Remove the old silicone or clean it completely for optimal adhesion.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
