How it works and how to install it
The Neon Flex LED Strip uses LEDs covered with a silicone diffuser layer that eliminates the dot effect and creates a continuous light line, similar to gas neon. Installation is simple: you shape the strip into the desired form, fix it to the surface with the included mounting clips, then connect the power supply to a standard 220V outlet. No electrical knowledge or special tools are required — the entire process takes less than 30 minutes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I cut the strip to a shorter length?
Yes, the strip can be cut at the dedicated markings, usually every 2 to 2.5 cm, without affecting the rest of the segment.
Can it be used outdoors in the rain?
The IP65 rating provides protection against water jets, but for outdoor use directly exposed to precipitation, an IP67 rating or higher is recommended. On covered terraces or in semi-outdoor areas, IP65 is sufficient.
Does the strip get hot during operation?
During normal operation, the Neon Flex LED strip produces minimal heat — the silicone coating remains slightly warm to the touch, with no risk of burns or damage to the surfaces on which it is mounted.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
