How it works and how to install it
The COB LED strip operates at 24V DC, so it requires a compatible transformer (power supply), purchased separately or together with the strip. Installation is simple: clean the surface, adhere the strip using the adhesive on the back of the PCB or insert it into an LED profile, then connect it to the power supply via the black and red wire cable included on the reel. No advanced technical knowledge is required — the connection is direct, positive-negative polarity.

Yes, the strip operates at 24V DC and requires a power supply compatible with the total power of the length used. For a complete 5-meter roll, you will need a power supply of at least 55W at 24V.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
